Text very slow to appear when typing in Yahoo Mail/IE8

It "feels" as if the keyboard buffer is not being read quickly enough. The delay is very long when more than just a few characters are entered. I am writing this in IE8 and the text appears immediately after any keystroke.

It also appears immediately in Yahoo mail when using Chrome.

Why does it happen in IE8 and Yahoo? I am not aware of having the same problem in any other software/program when in IE8.

 

Hey dmb06851, one of my email accounts is Yahoo Mail, are you using New Mail or Classic ?? When I type using IE8 the text is about normal, maybe just alittle lag, but everything else loads very slow, even clicking on Inbox is slow, but in Firefox and SRWare Iron everything is much faster. It maybe a compatibility issue with IE8.

It seems to be their latest fancy iteration - I think it's probably the "New" since I no longer see their irritating exhortations to change.

I don't remember making the change myself, and assume that it has been imposed upon me. Redolent of the intransigent and pigheaded attitude towards its users displayed by other companys; flickr and Photobucket to name a couple.

Yes, I can well believe it's a compatibility problem.

It's 44 years since a man was placed on the moon, yet software writers can't achieve compatibility. rolleyes Astonishing.

 

Just a note: Yahoo owns flickr (I was upset when Yahoo took over) so if Yahoo gets weird, expect the same with flickr.
