the sims 2 wont load properly after uninstalling

xxxok heres the thing i downloaded the sims 2 game and it was working ok but it had some thigns wrong with it so i decided to uninstall it and reinstall it back but when i try to reinstall it now it says problem occured while trying to copy file from media and it will keep saying that if i keep clicking retry until 100% then all it will say is that and it wont go any further now i just redid my whole computer due to problems from viruses but i did compaq recovery and erased everything and it still will not load to my computer i dont understand if anyone has any help i would appreciate it thank you

Downloaded it as in torrents, kazaa whatever?
There is your problem you downloaded a dodgy copy.
Buy it, I bought it the day it cam out and it's well worth the money.
Also sometimes some applications will not load properly if you do not uninstall them properly.
Try getting rid of the files in registry as well..... just might work also in my documents where the save files are.

 

ok well i have no idea what your talking about here i looked everywhere on my computer and its not even saying anything about it in my computer there isnt anything and i uninstalled the game automatically not manually i dont know what the problem is there isnt anything about the sims2 in my documnets only can i look in my computer is where i find it then in the program files

 

oohhh no i did buy the game i just uninstalled it and downloaded it im sorry that was my mistake but its still not working right

 

Hmm strange.
So it will not let you install it till the end. I've had it for a while and never had a problem. The only thing i can think of is.
Well sometimes When i install reinstall vice city, max payne 2 and such i get prompted to insert dics 2 let's say which is also play disc. I kept clicking ok, rebooted and worked fine. Try that and also you may want to keep in mind when punching in serial number found inside the case on left hand side sometimes if you misstype it will funilly enough let you install but cause the problems. If none of those work then im puzzled. Forget the egistry, and for C:\Documents and Settings (directory of game) blah blah sims2 where it actually saves your game and ingame shots taken, you should be able to find that.
