....about once out of every 10 times I power up my PC, the wireless adapter won't connect. No matter what I do, it just doesn't connect. It sees the router OK, but can't connect for no apparent reason. If I reboot, it's fine. Very strange. And about once in every 25 or 30 boot-ups, the PC locks up right after the task bar shows up, and right before any program icons appear down by the clock. Again, if I hit the reset button or power down/power up, it's fine. Any ideas???? Like the title says, not a big deal, but.....

BTW- I've run ALL kinds of diags: hard drive, RAM; I've done chkdsk, sfc, defrag, Dial-A-Fix, CCleaner, NTREGOPT, you name it. I'll say this: the PC runs freekin FAST!!! It's just the occasional weirdness that's a very minor thorn....

Could it be 2 or more programs trying to load at once causing it to lock up?

    Have you tried different channels?

Some work better than others. I've always had weird quirks like that when a channel the wireless card doesn't like is being used. There are 11 possibilities :)
