I finally (got the time/took the time) got all my various email accounts (Hotmail, Yahoo!, Gmail, etc.) into one place - Thunderbird (v. 3.1.2).

When I go to send a message from Hotmail, I am getting the following "Send Message Error" (attached) when I have copy/pasted into the body:

"Sending of message failed. An error occurred sending mail: Unable to establish a secure link with SMTP server smtp.live.com using STARTTLS since it doesn't advertise that feature. Switch off STARTTLS for that server or contact your service provider".

I have "switched-off" (changed) the setting for STARTTLS, to no avail...any hints here, please?

    Thanks in advance...
