Top choice for a detailed manual Office 2007

    Not my usual question, but has anyone read a truly outstanding book or series which covers all the major components of the MS Office 2007 suite of programs such as Word, and Excel for example?

    You'd be really surprised at what MS will tell you, try the online help\search function. THey also have a Dear Abby type person there as well (no, I can't remember what they call her)

    I just attached another mouse and that is not making a difference either.
    When you said I'd be surprised, does that mean you have a clue what you think they will say?
    I'll try to see if there is online help tonight. I paid good money for the suite so hope it is ok!! It was never a trouble until right today.

    Some choices are

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/training/FX100565001033.aspx?ofcresset=1 ( I used the online guides as they are pretty good )
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/books/office/default.mspx and this one is what I'm reading at present 2007 Microsoft© Office System Step by Step, Second Edition

    But on books if you want indepth then you need to get the books that are for just about the Office components and not the whole app, for instance Word as these go into more depth.
    http://www.amazon.com/Office-2007-Dummies-Computer-Tech/dp/0470009233 ( the Dummies guides are also good starting points, have a few of these, forget the naming of the books as they are quite indepth )

    But try out the online training courses as they are free and the help and support pages to MS Office are very good, including the inbuild help option.
