Toshiba Dvd-rom Sd-r2512

    I am able to view some dvd's but not all. There's no rhyme or reason. On dvd's that do not play, nothing is listed when I look at the drive. The drive engages, the little red light goes blinky, blinky, and then nothing. I've tried to open the dvd's using WinDVD, Real Player, or Windows Media and again, nothing is listed. I thought at first it might be a safeguard to prevent copying, but it does it on both new and old dvd's. :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: The dvd is in an HP Pavilion zv5000 running XP with SP2. Any suggestions?
