toshiba dvd rom trouble

I am having trouble finding a dvd driver/decoder for my toshiba satellite a55-s306 dvd/cd rom. i cannot find it anywhere. please help

 

If you need a decoder so you can watch DVD's, then what you're after is a codec pack, not a driver. If the DVD drive is reading data and audio discs, but not playing movies, install this:

It includes Media Player Classic which you can use for all your media needs. If you don't want a codec pack (it's a real good idea to install one if you do any kind of multimedia stuff like with audio or video files), you can just install VLC Media Player:

It has it's own set of decoders built-in so external codec packs generally aren't needed. Yes, it plays DVDs just fine
