TOSHIBA-non-malware programs/startups- 2013.06.24

Dear MajorGeeks Forum,

I am having the following problems with regard to non-malware programs/startups.

1. The following could not be uninstalled by going to Control Panel > Program and Features > uninstall:
ffdshow v1.1.3356 [2010-04-11]: When I tried to uninstall, the following message appeared.
File “C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack\ffdshow\unins000.dat” does not exist. Cannot uninstall.
I would be grateful if you cab advice me on how to uninstall this Programme.

2. I also tried to uninstall the following Programmes in the same way but could not, to have all the space and performance I can get.

GlassFish V2 UR2: When I tried to uninstall, the following message appeared.
Java SE Development Kit (JDK) was not found on this computer
JDK 6 or JDK 5 is required for installing the NetBeans IDE. Make sure that the JDK is properly installed and run installer again. You can specify valid JDK location using
--javahome installer argument.

3. Can I uninstall the following programmes?
• DVD Movie Factory for TOSHIBA
• Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
• pokki download helper
• Activation Assistant for the 2007 Microsoft Office suites

4. Can I disable the following Startups by StartupCPL?

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 4 (KB2463332): Installation has repeatedly failed.

You can uninstall or disable anything you don't need as long as the system doesn't require it, als try these, http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/revo_uninstaller.html, http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/geekuninstaller.html

 

Windows Update
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 4 (KB2463332): Installation has repeatedly failed.

Please advice.

After Installing SQLServer2005SP4-KB2463332-x86-ENU (Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 4), the following message appeared.

"the request failed or the service did not respond in a timely fashion. consult the event log or other applicable error logs for details... "
When I looked at the given link in the error message (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms191454(v=sql.105).aspx), the following post was found.

I'm trying to start SQL Server Agent(SQL EXPRESS) it takes a while and finally there is a message box error say the request failed or the service did not respond in a timely fashion. consult the event log or other applicable error logs for details...

Server Agent is Installed, but Disabled in Expression Edition
Don't waste your time trying to get this working if you have the express edition. It won't. Tested with version 10.20.1600.1 and verified here:
