Tough Trojan :/

    So I have this trojan that won't allow me to delete ANY files, enter control panel, or start CCleaner, HJT, or any other anti-virus programs. I can't even start them from cmd prompt.... Any suggestions? :s

    Any suggestions? I followed the guide, but I really can't do it since it all requires getting into programs I can't use, uninstalling things (which I can't do), or removing files (which I also can't do)....

    Is this the one trojan that's too though to crack? :/

    And if so, does anyone know how to reformat using command prompt or anything, if that would work?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!
    You need to try running all steps in the cleaning procedure (as was stated in the first few lines). Some of them will likely work. If you don't want to try then there is no sense in posting here since that is how you need to start.

    I did try each and every step. Like I said, the virus won't allow me to successfully carry-out any of the given steps. The computer freezes up when I try anything. I'm on another computer at the moment.

    What version of Windows do you have?

    Did you really try running MGtools.exe? Most frequently it will run, but some new forms of infections are now catching on that it was helping us remove the infections and they are finding ways of blocking it. Have you also tried booting in Safe Mode with command prompt? If you can boot in safe mode with command prompt, see if you can enter C:\MGtools.exe at the prompt to run the scans.

    If you cannot run anything, not even MGtools in normal boot mode nor in safe boot and cannot give us any logs, then there is not much we can do for you except say the below:

    Well, I ended up trying to reformat it, but my computer wouldn't boot to disk, so I attempted a few times in the command prompt, but I couldn't get any commands to work in there due to some missing file (I think it was boot.rec or something... likely due to the virus). Anyway, after many attempts on reformatting it, I just took it in to the guy who made it (since it was a custom made computer), and he reformatted for me... Problem solved. :)

    Thanks anyways, I'm sure that if I had gotten any other virus, the given steps would've worked just great. I'll keep this site in mind in case anyone I know comes upon the same problem I do. :)
