tribes.

Hi all. I am having quite the time getting tribes to work.I did a complete uninstall and reinstalled the disc.
My son downloaded the 1.11 patch. all good so far.
We downloaded the lasthope patch and went to install it but there is no exe.file there.
Which one is it?
What do we name it?
I understand the copy and paste part.
This has got me stumped.
I went and reinstalled it again and it asked me if i wanted to update.

Is this right ??
and is the 1.11 patch installed ??

now it says i need patch 1.1
googled it and dont know what version i have or what patch to pick.
any advice ??

 

the standard download was 1.08. you can get the 1.11 patch from fileplanet

 

When you first start up Tribes on the opening screen(after the Dynamix logo screen) on the lower right hand corner it should tell you the version you have.

 

Try looking in the text document named 'release' there. It may tell you the version you have.

If you are installing lasthope, in your tribes folder, rename your original tribes.exe to tribes.bak or something other then tribes.exe. Then download the t1 lasthope patch (which is really a modified tribes.exe) here www.lasthope.us. I would suggest getting the one that is not the happyjump version. Open the zip and you will see a tribes.exe in the lasthope zip. Place that in your tribes directory where your old tribes.exe is. Thats it
