Trojan Horse Backdoor.Agent.ICI

Recently I lent my flash drive to a friend and when using it on my computer, the AVG found the Trojan Horse Backdoor.Agent.ICI and i said delete. Oh surprise, I lost my folders! After cheking the info was there but it wasn't possible to recover.

Now working on my other computer (not connected to internet) these files APPEARED but the virus is still there.

My BIG PROBLEM is that when eliminating the infected folders, the antivirus eliminates also the access to these folders and I'm unable to rescue any of files in those folders. I'm afraid ALL my files can Vanish into electronic air.

PLEASE, someone help me!!!!!!!

 

This has happened to me before and I'm afriad to say it was tough to recover anything. I had some utilities that performed various tweaks to certain applications, however due to the nature the majority of AV applications will flag it as backdoor trojans or something else, they will also remove the file if the shields are active. I do use AVG AV as well. In reality, this is a very good thing. You know your AV is working right.

I had to recover my files using RecoveryMyFiles. This program does cost, however you can scan for files using the trial version, you have to buy the full version before it will recover anything.

 

Thanx, I'm trying that. One thing we noticed (a coputer engineer friend) that it "dwells" in the user folders. So we are copying all the files directly onto C: and then running the antivirus, well several of them. This seems to work, as long as the the original infected files(s) isn't copied.

 

Yeah, if you click on the folder the bad file is in, the AntiVirus flips out and starts deleting. It's a good thing however it can be at times a bad thing.
