    Hi,

I am currently running XP....but lately if I go to a site to download a file...I hit the download button, and I get switched to another website....I think the site is a search engine...possibly searchlocate (I am currently at work...problem is happening at home). How can I stop this from happening?

    Help!

    Thanks for any help!

Steve, sounds like your startup page has been altered. Try

    Start Page guard http://www.grassheap.com/software.php?ID=1062

    to stop this happening again.

Also maybe try some on-line scans to see if any other nasty is on your PC.

Are you running a firewall and up to date virus protection? Just a thought. What version of XP operating system, and what system specs? Bazza

    Kodo's right again.

    1. Find what's causing it.
    2. Fix it.
    3. Stop it happening again Bazza
