TSST Corp CDRW/DVD TSL462c Drive

Help! My Dell Lattitude D600 will not find the drive from dell i orderd please help im trying to play christmas dvds thanks

 

Ok, rather than start a new thread, I'll just answer these questions:

What type of drive, replacement internal DVD drive or external?

Mine was the orginal that came with the notebook.

If you enter the Bios in the case of internal is the DVD drive recognised?

Yes

If you fitted the drive yourself internally are all the connections firmly pushed in?

I didn't. I don't know how to check. If I didn't install it, do I need to check it?

Does the drive have power, the read light is that showing when you put a DVD in the drive?

It spins, but there's no light.

If a usb External DVD drive, unplug all USB devices apart from the DVD drive and see if its recognised?

N/A

Are their any ! marks in Device Manager, if so what are they next to?

No.


Which windows version you using?

Windows XP

If you get any error messgages what are they?
