Tutorial For PHP

Im looking to learn php, is there any cheap books or free tutorials online to learn im just looking to learn stuff in general

I found probably the best thing you can do is go to http://www.php.net/download-docs.php and download the php manual. It's a ton of help, explains everything, its there when you need it. It's got a search so if you need to say send an email and you don't know how, you go to search and type in "email" etc. It's what I would recommend.

first obviously, start with the snytax:

After every statement, there needs to be a ";".

when you create your own functions, you need it will follow this procedure

function nameOfFunction(anyVarables, StickInHere)
{ //Opening Brackets
//lines of code
} //Closing Brackets

and if-then-else statement would be

if ($i == "stupid")
{
$u = "smart";
}


and loops etc follow the same type of structure. That should get you started, the rest you can find in the manual.
