Tv as a monitor set up, trying to get sound

Hey,

At the moment i am using my main TV as a monitor untill i can afford a proper one.

I have it setup with a HDMI lead connecting from the TV directlly into my graphics card, i then have a jack into where the speakers usually plug into and the red and white cables into the back of my TV however i cannot seem to get any sound working.

does anyone have any suggestions how i can get this going? thanks

you need to look into your tv settings, see if there is an input for sound? are you connected to the right audio input (my tv has 3-4 audio inputs)? also, are you sure you have sound coming out of your comp (make sure it's not muted, etc). g/l, sos
