two mouses XP

    I got a microsoft ball mouse at a yard sale and want to use it my other half wants to keep and use the mouse that came with the computer the ball mouse is connected via of usb port can I install and use the ball mouse on my account and she use the stock pc mouse on her account using xp? :confused:

    I have a wireless USB mouse and occasionally I forget to put it on the charger, and I've plugged in my kids PS/2 mouse for emergencies with no ill effects so far.
