Unable to boot System: advice

    Hello folks, Helping out a friend right now. right now the problem is Unable to boot. Power is on lights go but no pulse no video. Checked, and rechecked HDD and other cables. Im pretty shure the mobo is dead. the mobo is a ASUS P5E LGA 775 Intel X38 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail. If you have any recomendations for a new mobo ill look em up.

    intel core2 duo q6600
    4gb of ddr 1066
    bfg 8800 gt
    and a PC Power & Cooling S75QB 750W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply - Retail. Im heading out to his place on monday to take a first hand look but asking the pros out there for some advice.

    Have you reset the CMOS Battery, removed and re-seated the Video Card?

    When you say 4Gb of RAM is this 4*1 or 2*2?

    So you can't even get it to POST to goto BIOS? Try removing one of the RAM modules (well remove all and leave only a single stick in) and try and boot.

    See how that goes, also ensure the Mobo Power is seated properly.

    yes the first thing we did was reset the cmos and the video card, 4 gb is 4x1gb i have not tryed the ram just yet. ill have him Check the ram.
