Unable to install any antivirus program

I've been unable to install any antivirus program. I had Mcaffee, but it would not update, so I removed it, and now am unable to install Avira.
I performed every step in the Run/Read Me first thread with only one problem. Rootrepeal will not work. I've run the program twice and each time it scans my computer, creates a massive "log" and then a completely empty box appears and I can only either click in the box or close the box. No matter which area of the box I click in, Rootrepeal closes before I am able to save the log.
Also, I tried to take a screen shot of what the rootrepeal blank dialog box looks like but my computer would not let me PrtSc it. It is essentially a dialog box with no background. It is transparent so you can see whatever is behind the window.

I have attached the rest of the logs. Thanks!

I am not seeing any malware in your logs. I suggest that you post in the software forum for further advice.

Other than your not being able to install Avira, what malware issues are you having?

I guess my main concern is being unable to install any antivirus software, and the previous one not updating. I had transfered a jump drive from this computer to another of mine that has up to date software, and that computer told me the jump drive was infected with a worm.

Is the fact that rootrepeal isn't working an issue?

No, it is common for RootRepeal to not work on about half the systems we see them attempting to run on.

If you are concerned about your flash drive:

Insert your flash drive before you begin. Hold down the Shift key when inserting the flash drive until Windows detects it to bypass the autorun feature. This will keep the autorun.inf from executing automatically.

Please have all your removable storage devices ready for disinfection.

Download Flash Disinfector by sUBs and save it to your desktop.

    * Double-click Flash_Disinfector.exe to run it.
    * Your desktop and icons may disappear. This is normal.
    * It will do a cleanup of removable storage devices, and write a protected Autorun.inf file to help prevent re-infection.
    * Follow any prompts that may appear.
    * The utility may ask you to insert your flash drive and/or other removable drives including your mobile phone. Please do so and allow the utility to clean up those drives as well.
    * Wait until it has finished scanning and then exit the program.
    * There will be no GUI interface or log file produced.
    * Reboot your computer when done.

Note: Flash_Disinfector will create a hidden folder named autorun.inf in each partition and every USB drive plugged in when you ran it. Don't delete this folder. It will help protect your drives from future infection.
