Unable to install or unstall in windows 8.1

    I am running Win 8.1 preview. When I first started, I could install and uninstall programs without a problem. Now, when I try to do either, I get to the "are you sure" screen, check yes and then nothing happens.

    I'm sure I am missing something obvious...can someone help?

    I am using 8.1 preview. I am trying to install programs that are downloaded on line (ie Avast).

    And I don't get any error. It just goes away. odd?????

    You do realize 8.1 is in Beta, and is still having the kinks worked out.
