unable to load spybot update

Hi,
Just checked for spybot updates and there were a couple.
One of them ( detection rules) appears not to load - I get the message "!!!badchecksum!" Tried a couple of times but same message.

Any idea what this is all about ?
OS = XP home
also running Norton internet security etc 2004

First of, stop or disable any anti-virus scanners or firewalls like Norton prior to updating..see if that helps, if not uninstall spybot, reboot, then delete the program folder (generall in C:\Program Files\...). And finally re-install Spybot... these are some generic steps you could try, it might help.
