Unable To Run Antiviris Or Malware Programs

I'm having a really heard time trying to figure out what's wrong with my wife's computer. It all started when she downloaded an update for AVAST. Programs began to run slow to the point the program/computer freezes. I can't run any scans like spybot, malware removal,etc.. Trying to go through your steps for malware removal guide, however, every time I run one the the downloaded programs ( malewarebytes, Roguekiller, etc) it starts fine, but then gets hung up on a file and then program stops working. I ran microsoft memory scan and it said memory was fine. Could it be hard drive? It's not making any strange noises.....I feel like I'm out of options. PLEASE HELP!!!!

 

Yes, I did and I ran avast cleaner

 

Well, i just finished running malwarebyets....took a day to run program. No threats....No running Roguekiller.....last few times it stopped running. Bottom line...when I start a program tit runs fine, then slows.....the comes to a freeze. So, yes still having issues.

 

I would run a chkdsk /f in command prompt sounds like errors on drive.

Was able to run with restart. Not sure what it did. Computer restarted. Running Roguekiller now.....worked fine, but got stock on C:\\Windows\System32\winsta.dll Can never get past.....program stops running. I did notice that I can open other programs while this has stopped working. That's new. Before, everything froze

 

Off topic that is be cause your drive had too many errors on it and your system can now continue scanning for virus or malware.

 

I have been able to get through the Read and Run procedures. The computer seems to work better. Programs are not freezing, however, I ran Spybot yesterday and it took several hours and would still get hung up on a file for a long time. So, is there something else I need to do to diagnose this?

 

I really appreciate your help and follow up! Let my play with this computer for a few more days and see how it responds....Seems to be working ok. If I run into issues, then I will upload logs, unless you think I should anyway?
