Unfixable Trojan

Bullguard AV is blocking a Trojan titled 'Kneeval.e'. Bullguard reckons in in the
C:\_RESTORE\temp directory but there isn't a directory by that name, hidden or otherwise. Can anyone help?

 

If you are using Windows XP or ME, read this: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=31668 Trojans, viruses and other scumware sometimes hide in system restore, and shutting it off and restarting it will clear them out. You can also get a much better AV than Bullguard at this link: http://majorgeeks.com/downloads29.html Avast, AVG, and AntiVir are good ones, and come in a freeware version. If you are using Bullguard firewall, go to this link: http://majorgeeks.com/downloads34.html Outpost, Sygate, and ZoneAlarm have freeware versions of their highly recommended firewalls, too.

 

Thank you Just Playin. The reason I tried Bullguard (nnly a couple of weeks
ago) was to try and curb the p2p problems I was having with KaZaa. NOD32
was no good and Norton AV was next to useless. I know Zone Alarm is a good
firewall but I yet to find a decent spyware detector for some of the stuff going around at the moment. Any suggestions?

 

You might want to consider getting rid of Kazaa, it's more trouble than it's worth. It wouldn't hurt to read some of the others, too. A lot of good info, and it will save you a lot of questions later on.
