Uninstalling Explorer Beta 2 -- I think I deleted the uninstall file!

I'm currently running XP SP2.

I loaded Explorer Beta 2 awhile back, and now that Beta 3 is out, I wanted to upgrade. You have to uninstall the previous version before you can upgrade to the next. Following Microsoft's instructions didn't work (Using Add/Remove Programs). Following the advanced instructions didn't work --- running the actual
C:\Windows\$NtUninstallie7beta2$\spuninst\spuninst.exe
file. I get an error message saying the file isn't where it's supposed to be.

I've done a search of my hard drive -- it's not there. What I think I MUST have done in previous system cleans is manually delete the uninstaller file because I can't find it anywhere. Those windows update files start to pile up, so I delete them on a regular basis.

Explorer won't let me reinstall Beta 2 so I can properly uninstall it. I am also unable to MANUALLY delete the Explorer folder in the Programs File directory --- I get messages saying ''. . .part of this file is in use by windows. . .'' and it won't delete.

Okay, how do I get myself out of this mess I put myself in? (Oh. My backup system backs up critical files, but not those uninstall files. I never thought I'd need a backup!)
