    Hello all,

I'm not sure if I'm okay to post this up here as I'm not sure if the category qualifies but I really need someone's help on this one.

About two years ago, I bought a wonderful little DVD player that will play absolutely anything for a really cheap price. It's called the 'Yakumo Dvd Master Dx4 Divx Dvd Player' and I bought it from Amazon. However, the product is no longer available and I can't seem to find a way to contact the makers. The weblink to Amazon remains, though: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yakumo-Dvd-...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1203521885&sr=8-1

Recently, I noticed that my remote control handset had packed in and I can't operate the DVD much at all without it. If anyone knows a way around the handset, then that would help but I think my best chance is a Universal Remote Control. Yet browsing and asking on ebay and amazon has yielded zero results for anything that is definitely compatible. I'm aware that most DVD player brands need to have a code keyed in and that on some handsets, some brands might actually share the same code but I have no idea which, if any, that is.

Could somebody please help? A means to contact Yakumo, a code or a noted device, perhaps....? Anything would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Steve

I think it is really a matter of finding a universal remote you like at a decent price and then checking the website of the remote manufacturer for a code list to see if yakumo is included.

I just picked one at Amazon.uk and looked at the phillips website for a manual and yakumo code is #1031

I'm sure you can find a cheaper remote. It is just a matter of finding one that can perform the functions you need.

    Good Luck :)
