upside down display

WIN XP PRO,
HP-Compaq,
512 Mg RAM,
2.6 ghz clock,
Monitor not known right now
not on that machine
Problem = Display is inverted at user sign-in after right-side up
initial displays, I have never seen this before. Any suggestions?

 

1 thing to check is that XP Pro will give you the option of rotating your display if it recognizes a rotatable display.

You can go to safe mode and change the display type to the default and when you reboot, it should be in low res and not rotated.

I found this by accident one day as I have a flat panel that has the option of rotating.

 

There is also a gag program that does this. Someone may be playing with you.

 

Local IT pro fixed it by reinstalling XP Pro and other needed apps. Thanks for responding
