Howdy everyone, I've an old HP from you all know where, that is running Windows 98. I'm trying to figure out how to get the stupid thing to recognize a USB flash memory card. I know I can get a new OS, but I was trying to avoid that one. This thing has enough problems.

Go to the website for the maker of the USB drive. They will most likely have a driver for it for Win98 unless it's a very large one.

Check your formatting too, no NTFS on Windows 98, FAT, FAT 16,
FAT 32. They usually come formatted that way anyway. Also no 2.0 on the USB, 1.1 I believe, but it should work any who.

Win98 has 2. and jump drives usually come formated as fat32.
