I went to ntfs.com and made every step to allow NTFS for my USB to be available as well (before that only FAT32). The problem of my USB is that you can see its capacity but in fact, after 600 MB if you have an avi, it is empty after the ~600th MB, if you copy any file after that it is blank with the same file size, so the USB ruins the files if they exceed even 400-500 MB. I talked to a guy from a Cyber cafe who knows pretty well that stuff, as he knows the hex codes, the partitions etc, and he told me my USB that was in FAT32 to be changed. And thx to him I also solved problems on my HDD with drives saving avi files to not more than 4GB (they were FAT32 but after formatting them to NTFS I coulds store as much as 25 GB file). But you see what I get with the USB when I try to format it... I tried it on a laptop that uses Win XP Media (smth like that was the name), while the PC with this screenshot is with Win XP Pro SP2.

In short, I must format my USB to NTFS and maybe my files after 600MB on the USB will not be empty anymore, and I may be able to use its full capacity. Please help, I have no idea why when trying to format after making it NTFS, it displays this.

I forgot, this must be useful for u to know:
After doing the ntfs stuff, now the USB is in RAW file system and if you click the drive, it says it needs formatting. Do you want to format it now? When you do that, the Windows message below appears.

Patience is a virtue. Especially when dealing with people who take time out of their day to provide help for free.

Nobody is paid staff here. You rely on volunteers. You can't expect Majorgeeks to drop everything and come running to your assistance. Maybe our jobs don't allow for that. Maybe we have a family to take care of first.

Good luck finding as high-quality support for free elsewhere. You'll need it.

I'm assuming you're talking about a Flash Drive, Pen Drive, etc. Too many issues. Leave it with the FAT32 format.:(

Sure you have, tell it to every member and 'expect' members to come. I've been in staff pretty long to know what is important for a forum. Maybe if I hadn't said that, this thread would have gone 0 replies, if this is your patience - to get page 2 without a reply every member will ask in another place.

Thanks baklogic, I wanted to make it without creating/deleting partitions, as I have another program and when I create an NTFS one, it cannot read my USB it says corrputed, I hardly even reformatted it back to FAT32 to make my USB work. I'll go ask for their program, it's not ok my USB not to be read with NTFS partiton.

Why do you expect EVERYONE to know what the problem is? Seriously, if it says Windows is unable to format the drive, then don't expect everyone of us to know what the problem is. You would get more replies IF people didn't have life's, which they do so expect to wait. People have their own problems to take care of, not to drop everything for you.

Patience, patience... We are all volunteers to help you. We don't have to, nobody is getting paid here. And yet, nobody is forcing you to stay here.
