I have a USB key, and would like to have it encrypt or password protected, in case I lose it.
Same with a harddrive (external). Any recommendations on what program(s) I could use/buy, doesn't matter as long as it's good, I don't mind flipping some coin for it.
    Thanks.

My Sony Microvault USB thumb drive has some software that could be downloaded free from Sony that could "password protect any portion of the drive's contents" and also software to use your thumb drive as a key to lock your computer if the drive isn't plugged into it. Probably proprietary software, but you might see if your drive manuf. has anything similar available. URL to see Sony's is: http://www.sony.co.jp/microvault/

Hate Sony as a company, no offense.

Anyone have any suggestions for encryption programs.
I don't mind buying it either if it's good though.
