Validation failed for system vsinit

    Does anyone know what this means? When I turn on my computer I get this at the windows log in.


    Validation failed for c\windows\system\vsinit.dll

    You probably are missing a necessary root cerfificate.


    Is my HijackThis log okay.

    Note this is on a old computer.I do no't know if this is malware or problem with zone-alrm.

    I done a google search and some say vsinit.dll file is part of zone-alarm.

    Note I have windows 98SE , 256 RAM ,onbord video shared RAM, Celeron CPU.And this computer is 10 years old.

    Yes vsinit is for ZoneAlarm which you have installed and this is not a malware problem. As such I will be sending you to the Software Forum.
