Very loud fan noise during boot

    I have a ~2 year old PC, that upon starting has a very loud fan noise, which gradually dies down after ~2 minutes, approx. when entering windows.
    I attach a zip file with recording.
    Occasionally the PC has become unresponsize as CPU working flat-out.

    My PC spec can be viewed in my sig, it did come with a larger fan than required inside for cooling, and I have since doublede the RAM to 8Gb (after which I did experinece some other issues here).

    Any ideas, or suggestion of further diagnostics I can do would be appreciated?
