Ok. First if I am not in the right section for this then I apologize. Anyway, I have had video problems for the past several weeks now and have tried everything that I can think of to fix the issue I am having. First I will give you a bit of information about my computer so you will know what I am working with.

Ok. I have run all sorts of tests. First Off I know my CPU is slow and I know my Hard Drive has a slow HDD Speed. I have tested the hard drive with Software that I have downloaded from major geeks and my Hard drive is in great shape according to the program I downloaded. My problem isn't my hard drive. The Video card is a ATI Radeon HD5450 and is mostly a video card designed for movies. On any browser, The videos will play fairly decent, until I go to fullscreen, Then they skip like a school girl. I downloaded a Sample HD Video from DIVX website onto my computer and played it and it plays great. No lag at all and no Audio skipping and it plays smooth. I have uninstalled Catalyst Control suite, Video Drivers and uninstalled the Video card itself and reinstalled everything. It leads me to believe the video card is okay if a HD DivX movie in 1080p plays great when downloaded. it was skipping and lagging even when I downloaded a movie before so uninstalling and reinstalling the software and video card took care of a majority of my issues. Now I am just trying to deal with the fullscreen playback. I have tried it on multiple browsers, I.E. Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer and Flashpeak Slimbrowser. Even Facebook games run like hell and lag to the point where I can't hardly play them anymore. I've made sure Adobe Flash, Shockwave, Drivers, Browser versions, and anything else was updated and still no dice. I have done almost everything I can think of and the computer runs awesome right now, Its just this video issue that has me scratching my head and wanting to run screaming from the room while tearing my hair out. :cry:cry:mad:banghead. Any help, advice or information would be very appreciative.

    Hi,

You'll be wanting to upgrade that pc of yours pretty soon, XP is no longer supported.

You'll be finding it harder and harder over the next few years to get compatibility.

You might want to check out video stuttering online and try clearing internet and temp files. You could try a system restore, but Im not sure how effective that would be at the end of the day.

You may have a java exploited type virus even, I discovered one recently.

Also checkout your browsers version and compatability with XP, I think if youre using internet explorer it stops at IE8 for XP. So if your using a newer version of internet explorer it may not be for XP - you can find most browser versions under help in the browser menu bar.

Already checked out Video Stuttering online. None of what I have ran across helps me. I have tried alot of it. Clearing out Temp files and Internet files doesn't do it either as I do that every single day. I don't use Internet Explorer. It sucks personally. I either use Chrome or Firefox and even downloaded Slim Browser. As far as Windows? I know it is no longer supported. I am trying to hold on to XP as long as I can. I hate the New Windows and the redesign that they did with it. I will check out the Java virus possibility tho. If Anyone Else has any suggestions that Necro61 missed, I would appreciate it!
