video card cooling sucks, what to do?

Well, I hate the way my video card was designed to cool off.

With the tower standing up, video card's fan blows the hot air downward, which half of it comes back up anyways to get blown out by the psu fan (the other half gets blown out by the case fans, why are the case fans on the bottom exhaust instead of intake...)

With the case on its side, the video card just blows the air sideways, which hits my wlan card and traps some of the heat.

Whoopy.

My question is, is there an alternative way to cool off my video card? It idles at around 49C, which I know it should not be doing >_>

 

Buy an alternate cooler like NV/ATI silencer. Or get a different type of case layout, like the aerocool galaxy. (I use both)

 

I have a Zalman VF700. It has a massive copper heatsink and I believe the fan sucks air onto it rather than blows.
