video memory error message

Hi, I have this unusual problem.
My comp won't let me run the game ( Tiger woods PGA2002)

When I try to run the game, this error message shows: " DirectX is reporting taht there is not enough video memory to run the game." After I clik ok, this message appears: "The instruction at '0x21111ba3' referenced memory at '0x02548cd8' The memory could not be read"

My computer----- Dell Dimension 8400
CPU--------------- 3.2GHz P4
Hard disc--------- 160GB
Memory---------- 1GB
Video memory---256MB
Video card------ ATI Radeon X850XT PE

The thing is it runs okay on my laptop, thougn.

My laptop----- Toshiba satellite A75-s229
CPU----------- 3.2GHz P4
Memory------- 512MB
Video memory-128MB(shared)
Video card----- ATI Radeon 9000 IGP

Please help me!
