My problem is that I can't get my color and resolution above 4bit color and 600x400 respectively. It's a new notebook and I doubt it has any physical damage.

I tried re-installing different video driver versions from Intel and from the manufacturer CD. Cleaning the registry every step and still has the same problem.

    Anyone can help?

Hi mate , you must use this tool

    http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1655

    run it

    first step
in normal mode uninstalling the graphic driver

    second step
run it safe mode again ( unistalling the leftovers )

    after that go here

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?lang=eng&DwnldID=18564

install the driver properly !! :wave

The link :http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1655 has no download links. So I went to http://phyxion.net/. Got versions 3.1.0 and 3.2.0 and both seems corrupted.

I tried 3.0.0 and installed it on the notebook. Suddenly, a message error comes up:

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate the application."

I found 3.2.0 on TechSpot but when I installed it, the same error appeared.

    What do now?

Oh sorry , you must download Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5

    http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=21

and the tool from our site !!

    Ok.

I tried installing http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=21 (14.37.50.1.5134) and on reboot, the OS fails to start. (stuck at WinXP title)

    So then, I tried another:

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19051&ProdId=3235&lang=eng (14.37.50.4.5260)

It kept telling me I need to have administrator rights even though I'm logged in as admin.

Then, I tried installing it from that window which pops up whenever there's a missing driver and directed it on the igxpmp32.sys file that came along with the installer and gives me a certain message. (See attached file)

    What do?

    ::Update::

Well, I tried everything. The newest driver is just not installing.

I investigated why the drive is not installing and I found something on the web that says a registry key is blocking it. I read the setupapi.log and did found "Access Denied" entries in it but I don't know how to unlock them.

    I'll just attach the log.

    ::Update::

After trying everything and failed, I just reinstalled a fresh copy of WinXP.

I initially installed the newest driver:

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...=3235&lang=eng (14.37.50.4.5260)

restarted...and it worked properly. Installed the rest of the device drivers and still no driver problems but for one...

Now I am at 1024X600 resolution and the screen looks vertically streched. I unchecked the "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" option to see more resolution options since the only items provided at first where 800x600, 680x480 and 1024X600.

I chose 1024X768 but the monitor can't display it. (Shows a vertical, single colored screen)

Is there other ways to get that resolution or should I just stick with 10024X600?

A screen shot on the Desktop? Wouldn't that yield the right result?
