Video Problem (video image scrambled, but sound)

Hey,

I recently installed "VLC player" and a small codec pack, worked fine for a whole month, until now..

now, windows media playing will NOT play video or audio, ever time i open a file of any type it says "opening media" ive left it for 1 hour but still nothing,

VLC randomly crashes, i think i have a major codec problem

its really annoying, i cant even view "internet videos" the video image goes all messed up and scrambled

ive tried full widnows media updates and official patches, uninstalling, reinstalling etc,..

please help me, i cant even view my university tutorial videos..

You've probably got hacked versions of codecs installed. Uninstall the codec pack you have on your computer and install this codec pack.

I've had the same problems in the past and it was due to having illegal or hacked versions of codecs. I use the K-Lite Codec Pack and have not had a problems since.
