    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Your logs do not show any malware. They do show that you have no antivirus protection which is very dangerous. Also they show they you do not have the correct version of SUPERAntiSpyware nor the current version of MGtools.

How are you downloading files? Are you referring to torrent downloading?

Perhaps you should remove recently installed software like Sygate Pro which looks like it is a illegal copy anyway.

I strongly advise you to cleanup your Desktop. Remove eveything but links to run programs. Do not download and save programs here and defintely do not use it for long term storage. You need to keep ComboFix.exe here for now as we need it, but we will be removing it when we are finished with your cleanup. A cluttered Desktop is malware's playground and it can also cause performance degradation especially when you start saving large files here like you are doing.

Problems with your CD drive should be posted in the Software forum.

    Thank You for the reply,

turns out that my isp was freaking out so that takes care of the downloads and I removed Sygate Firewall Pro.

Just wondering where is a good place for storage of files?

    Thank you

    You're welcome.

That's why I was asking about torrent downloading. Some ISPs will shut you down it you try to act like a server.

See message # 24 of the below thread. This is a method that I use. It is not the only possibility, but it works well and keeps you organized.
