Virus affecting word document

Good day, all

I wonder if someone can assist me please. My computer crashed. I stand to be corrected but this might have been due to a computer virus. Computer became very slow prior to crash and did very strange things. I’ve replaced the computer after the crash. I then used a data recovery program to retrieve files. I then discover that somehow some content of some word documents find their way in some other word files. I am not too sure how this has occurred, but I guess this could have been due to a virus or the data recovery software.

Is there someone that can please advise me of how this could have happened? If maybe a virus, what virus done this and where can I get more info on this, please?
