Hi. Recently my laptop got an infection. I don't remember what site it was because it hung up my browser before it fully loaded and I had to reboot. I thought I was clean after scanning with Avira and MalwareBytes, but I noticed my google search results were getting redirected sometimes. I've been running a MB scan every few hours it catches new stuff everytime. Also, I get a blue screen of death whenever I try to connect my external hardrive, thumbdrive, or digital camera, and sometimes when I try to open MalwareBytes, but most of the time it works. The blue screen gives me variations of the message:
    ---
    "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT LESS_OR_EQUAL
    stop: 0000000d1 (0xe1b07000, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xf5e9dcf1)
    ---

I did everything in the sticky, and the infections keep coming back. If you can help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, for some reason the logs didn't show up in my first post. Here they are again.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Your BSOD issues are things that you should post in the Software Forum.

Your redirection issues can be resolved by simply deleting the below folder:
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions\{DEBA4C85-4773-45FF-939C-4614248A35F8}

Let me know if this fixes the redirection problem. Your logs are clean other than this.

That got rid of the redirecting issues, but as soon as I connected to the net, Avira caught the following:

    C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\CLAlbumArt.dll
    C:\System Volume Information\_restore{094c7596-d707-4515-a2c2-822957f5f29a}\rp74\a0024086.dll

The first is not a problem.

The second is just in System Restore which our final instructions would remove anyway.

And the 3 rd set of items in the TIF are not problems and are easily remove by emptying your browser cache.

Since your logs are clean, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures in step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
