    Hello,
I cannot help with the AVG problem but you might want to try this if nobody on the forum can help with the AVG issue. You will need to run both SalityKiller.exe and Sality_RegKeys.zip which has a reg file that needs to be installed.

If you cannot log into windows to backup your files, there a couple of choices available. You can download a small linux distro called Puppy and then burn the iso file with Nero or Imgburn (freeware). You could also download Hirens Boot Cd and burn the iso file. Then when first booting, use the minixp option. You will boot to a XP desktop and then you will be able to transfer files. Both options should recognize your USB external or flash drive.

that mean it's impossible to skip that scan?

I am not sure how this AVG scan works. Can't you just power down the computer?

Good Work. Can you give an explanation of what changes you made to the boot process? It may help other people with the same problem. Thanks.
