When I use FreeRamXP Pro in my XP Pro I usually get 1½ gigs of RAM free out of my installed 2 gigs of RAM.

In VISTA Home Premium, FreeRam Xp Pro never seems to budge off 1028 megs Free no matter what I do. When I check out Process Explorer processes that are using RAM, the processes listed add to nowhere near 1 gig of used RAM.

FreeRAM XP Pro 1.52 at http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=1670 shows it as suitable for "Win All"
Anyone using FreeRam XP Pro in Vista? Does it work for you, or not? :confused

Don't think it works in Vista.

Ram optimizers are placebos anyway. Vista uses ram to its fullest extent. You probably don't have a 1.2gb memory load. Its cached ram, to speed up application opening and what not. Vista gives it up as its needed by other apps.

    Vista memory management>ram optimizers.

Thanks Adrynalyne. FreeRAm XP Pro does work well in XP Pro in my, and others, experience.

As for Vista, I am still learning. Cached Ram is something I haven't learn't enough about. So much to learn so little time. :D Bazza
