    Hi All!
I am new to this forum and seeking advice with my Vista premium finding no cd/dvd burner. I am running an HP dv4-1225 notebook with an AMD dual core RM-72 chip, 4 GB ram and my O/S is 64 bit. I have uninstalled the IDE controller, and deleted the low and high filters in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.

Still no devices found after restart.

Any other hints on how to restart my cd/dvd drives?......also, I did use them a few weeks prior to losing their function.

BTW...I am not a big fan of Vista and HP's
    Thanks ahead!
    Brian
