Vista upgrade-HP-Monitor goes blank after i close the lid and it will not return

    Hp DV6000 laptop
    upgraded to vista
    I set my power options to do nothing when i close lid....and now it "does nothing" when i open it.

    It is still running but the monitor remains blank.
    I have to hold the power button for a 'improper' shutdown

    nvidia geforce go 7400
    comp. designed for xp...vista capable
