Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me here... I have tried different ways of installing VLC Media Player on my Windows 7 64bit edition. However, it doesn't install. I even tried running the install through cmd with /NCRC after the path in the command line. When I tried doing that it just said corrupted compression cannot install. Is there any way to install VLC Media player on Windows 7 64bit? Or is there a similar program that will install on win64 that plays ISO files w/out mounting? Please, anybody?

After lots of searching I found that VLC is not compatible with x64 (yet). But I would suggest installing the K-lite codec pack, which comes with Media Player Classic and can play all your video/audio files.

As for "playing" ISO files, I'm not sure about your question. If you mean using the ISO as a disc image to play a game on that image, I've never seen the ability without mounting.

I am able to install and use VLC on my Win7 x64.
Perhaps re-download VLC from another mirror as you may have a corrupted download.
