Vrius/adware downloads for training

as a new help desk supervisor my first and formost job is going to be training on highy inexprianced IT staff how to do basic tasks like troubleshooting, networking, hardware testing, and infection removal. i figure the easist way to finsh at least one of these tasks to infect a vitual machine and go over the removal process with them as a group. I'm basicly looking for common infections like av2009(or what ever spin off of the day it is now) virumodo, black.scr or anything simaler. I once saw a site that provided copys of some known infections for this very propous but i dont remember the name. i supose i could just run on many porn sites and get some infections that way but i was hoping for a more specific selection. anyone know of a site like this or somwhere i might find some of these more common infections that we see everyday?

also on a side note. anyone work in IT leadership and have trianing advise?
