    Hi,

Just installed Windows 7 64bit. I have a two hard disks, Samsung with two partitions, the OS on one and storage on the other. I also have a spare Maxtor hard disk installed with three storage partitions.

When W7 starts I can see all 5 drives access them and move files between them in My Computer. At some point during the session the 3 Maxtor drives disappear from My Computer. Not sure what event causes this but I am certain that it is a software issue with W7, as I have had this configuration for several years and never had this problem before I installed W7.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

I have discovered that this happens after W7 returns from hibernation. The restore from sleep is not reading the Maxtor hard disk.

Hope this helps someone come up with a solution.

    Axel
