So the problem I am having started about two days ago, before I found out about majorgeeks. I don't remember exactly what happened. It happened a while ago and my internet, soon after, went out randomly. Everyone in the area had problems but it came back yesterday night. I remember I was watching videos on youtube and I wanted to check the task manager for something, but when I tried to open it via right click on the task bar, it wasn't opening. So I tried to get into task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+delete the screen turned black and an error popped up saying, "Failure to display security and shut down options." etc and so I tried to restart the computer but all it did was get stuck on the force close programs bit and once that finished it went to a black screen where only my mouse was visible, but I could move it. I immediately went on my phone to figure it out and looked on a few help sites and it was saying to do a clean boot, which I was able to do except norton antivirus doesn't allow you to use msconfig on it. The weird thing was that even the clean boot didn't work either and I have full function ability for about 30 secs-1 minute and then everything starts getting really slow and I can't open task manager, ctrl alt delete still has the error, I can't run msconfig, open control panel, browsers, games, and I can't click start buttons (won't even highlight) ; only windows explorer really works and that still takes ages and frequently crashes. I found a post saying a system restore and running "netsh winsock reset" in cmd would help and that actually seemed to fix things for about 2-3 hours, then the problems came back. NOW I did some more looking around and people were saying this kind of thing was malware and I looked around and used a few tools to remove it all (in hindsight that may have been a mistake). I still have most of the logs that were made when I did that. I had previously used rogue killer and malware bytes before I found your site, and the SReng log is from a program called SReng that is supposed to fix registry problems. So, I'll attach those first, then the logs read and run requests. P.S. If it wasn't clear, I can run my pc just fine in safe mode with networking, and I will attach the requested files from read and run in the next post.

Should this be in the software forum if the scans are saying I have no malware? At least I think that's what they say.

Your thread was delayed because you kept "bumping" it.

Re-run Hitman and have it fix all it found.

You are not having malware problems, so yes, pursue this in the software forum.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link

Malware removal from a National Chain = $149
Malware removal from MajorGeeks = $0

Alright thanks. I didn't mean to "bump", I was just wondering if nobody was responding because it wasn't a malware issue. Thanks again!
