Watercooled system design?

Heya everyone. I've just begun building a system from scratch, and have decided to go with a liquid cooling solution. I know which components I have to buy, and how they go together, but is there a website out there that covers the actual design of the system? For example, is it okay to split the line before it gets to the CPU block, since all the instructions I've seen show the split after? And if I'm cooling many components, what design tips should I implement to make them cool more effectively?
