Can't post videos while at college, but had a case of nostalgia and went to look for a record my grandparents had that I used to listen to when I went to visit growing up. I found it at there place Tuesday night and searched youtube for it. (Note: This record came out 20 years or so before I was born, so the songs are 20-30+ years older than me.) The record is Funny Bone Favorites.

I found it and downloaded a few songs I used to love some are listed below, (with their release dates) :

The Coasters- Along came Jones (May 1959) Much better than Ray Stevens cover, in my opinion.

Phil Harris- The Thing (October 13, 1950-- recorded date)

The Cadets- Stranded in the Jungle (1956)

Larry Verne- Mr. Custer, also refereed to as "Please Mr. Custer" (1960)

Those are a few of my favorites.

    Sounds like Tablas

I've never actually played one, but they have a distinctive sound.

    These guys are Amazing!!!
AFAIK, everything was composed by Virgil.

At about the 3:45 mark, they are playing with a recorded guitar and keyboard track.

    Virgil Donati - drums
    Doug Shreeve - bass

    Good one, Pax...

    ...

In July 1976, my unit started a load-out mount in preparation for support of the Israeli Thunderbolt raid at Entebbe Airport, Uganda. As it turned out, the Israelis didn't need our support, dammit - they kicked a$$...

ANYWAY, I remember jamming to this tune to psych myself up - hell, we were gettin' ready to HALO in and stomp some Idi Amin butt!
