    A few things to try...

    1) Go into CONTROL PANEL > DEVICE MANAGER and be sure there is not a red "X" or yellow "?" by any of the drivers. If there is, click on the device and attempt to let Windows reinstall it by searching for and downloading it.

    2) If this fails, go to www.acer.com, go to the drivers & downloads section, enter the exact PC model # and manually look for the most current driver for your PC and version of Windows (be sure to check if your version of Windows is 32 or 64 bit; this may make a difference on which driver to download. If unsure, go to CONTROL PANEL > SYSTEM and it will tell you if it's 32 or 64 bit).

    Hope this helps. :)

Also have a look in the BIOS to be sure it is not disabled.
