Weird graphic errors in game

This happens in mostly any FPS game for me.
Part of an image is stretched partially or fully across the screen.
People have mentioned overheating but my temp is normal.
I am not sure what this could be.

Is it at all possible that the monitor is causing this?

picture doesnt load at all; it might be an overheating issue with your ram and not your core. Monitors dont cause (that i know of) dificiencies on your grhpx as long as its not like a corner going purple or static across the screen. your temp guage might be missleading; try to physically touch the ram; on my 9800 i can hold my finger on it for about 4-5seconds b4 it start to "burn".

Have you updated your video card drivers? Definately not a monitor issue.

its defently a video card issue; if you have warrenty on it i suggest giving it back in for a new one. Or even think about buying a new one; what card is it?

 

I wouldn't say it was definetly a video card issue, i recall that when the last video card was installed I would sometimes get the same error.

It's a 5200FX not the greatest but I don't plan on replacing it unless I know 100% that it's the problem.

 

I had similar problems with my various Nvidia cards in 3D games. Try (re)installing the latest DirectX yet? Usually I had good luck by updating my video drivers and then (re)installing the latest DirectX. I do not see visual bugs like that in any game anymore.

 

Are you overclocking it?If so drop your memory timingsdown a bit.Looks like a memory or a heat problem.Might just need a little more airflow...
